Artist’s statement

My work is inspired by the quiet beauty of natural light and the tactile atmosphere found in the landscape. Through watercolor, I aim to capture the sensitivity and stillness of the world around me, embracing the medium’s natural looseness to create a sense of light and movement.

I’m drawn to the romantic beauty of everyday moments and the natural world, away from the distractions of modern life. Influenced by classical art, I seek to create works that evoke a sense of calm and invite thoughtful reflection on God’s beautiful creation.

Ultimately, I draw and paint because God has given me this ability, and I want to use this gift in the best way I can. I hope my work can provide some sense of beauty, joy, or calm for the viewer.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
